“Sorrow of Parting”「惜別」

In the quiet corners of memory, where love and longing intertwine,
my friend’s heart echoed the footsteps of his beloved wife.

She had slipped away, leaving behind a trail of whispered promises and shared dreams.

Their golden anniversary trip, etched in sepia tones, revealed a love that transcended time.
In that hotel room, they basked in the warmth of half a century together,
their laughter painting the walls.

But fate, ever the silent observer, had other plans.

Six months later, the room remained empty, its silence a haunting melody.
My friend, once vibrant, now moved through life as if chasing shadows.

He clung to her memory, tracing the contours of her absence.
And then, as if drawn by an invisible thread, he followed her into eternity.

In the quietude of grief, I find solace in the words unspoken—the ache of farewells,
the hollowness of empty spaces. For love, even in its absence,
lingers like a melody, haunting yet beautiful.

And so, I pen this elegy for two souls entwined: ‘Sorrow of Parting.’
May it echo across the ages, a tribute to love
that defies the boundaries of life and death.”

“記憶の静かな隅に、愛と切なさが交差する場所があります。
友人の心は、愛する妻の足音を追いかけて響いていました。

彼女は去っていき、ささやかれた約束と共有した夢を残して。
金色の記念日の旅行はセピア色に染まり、時を超越した愛を物語っていました。

ホテルの部屋で、彼らは半世紀にわたる温かさに浸り、笑い声が壁を彩りました。
しかし、運命は静かな観察者として、別の計画を持っていました。

6ヶ月後、部屋は空っぽのままで、その静寂は哀しみの旋律でした。
友人はかつての元気さを失い、
影を追いかけるかのように人生を歩んでいました。

彼は彼女の思い出にしがみつき、彼女の不在の輪郭をなぞりました。
そして、見えない糸に引かれるように、
彼は永遠に彼女の後を追いました。

哀しみの静けさの中で、私は言葉に語られなかったものに慰めを見つけます。
別れの痛み、空虚な場所の喪失感。
愛は不在でも亡霊のように残り、美しくもあります。

そして、私は二つの魂が結びついたこの挽歌を綴ります。「惜別」。
それは時と死の境界を超える愛へのオマージュとなり、
世代を超えて響くことでしょう
